It is normal to experience some drips coming out of the drain over the course of an infusion, especially if you are dispensing any liquid to "taste test" as you go. These drips should not be enough that placing a container under the drain to catch them is necessary. Just wipe the metal drip plate clean as needed, or place a container beneath the drain if preferred.
If you are experiencing leaking from the drain that is greater than a couple drips here and there, check on the following things:
- The silicone nozzle should be securely attached to the reservoir’s spout and the reservoir correctly installed inside of the heating chamber; this is done by holding down the RELEASE button under the lid until the reservoir rests flat. Ensure that the nozzle attachment is screwed onto the reservoir's spout completely.
- Check that there is no damage to the silicone nozzle, such as tears or holes.
If you detect any damage, contact Support to request a replacement nozzle be sent to you. - The silicone nozzle can wear over time with continued use, due to the drain valve opening and closing around it under heat.
If your nozzle has degraded due to normal wear and tear, contact Support to request a replacement nozzle be sent to you.
