Want to know how strong your infusion is before you cook with it? You can estimate the potency of any batch with three numbers:

• How much herb of choice you’re infusing (in grams)
• Its potency (the % on the label)
• How much oil or butter you’re infusing into

Why it’s an estimate

Herb potency varies from batch to batch, and no home method extracts 100%. Calculator results are a starting point, not a lab result. If you want a measured number, test your finished oil or butter with a potency tester such as the tCheck 3.
